The Village Potter is a unique Pottery Studio and Shop at 73 W Main Street in the heart of New Market, Maryland. Daniel produces an extensive line of both decorative and functional pottery. Using handmade traditional wheel thrown methods as well as hand building, he creates durable, lead-free pottery that is microwave, dishwasher and oven safe.

The Village Potter represents functional beauty. We want you to love your pottery every bit as much as we do. We want you to cook and bake with it as we do. We want you to entertain and even decorate your kitchen and home with your pottery. This is not a disposable product and treated right, it will last generations. It is glazed and fired in a Smokeless Wood Fire Kiln on the property that exceeds 2100 degrees Fahrenheit. The result is a product that can withstand even the toughest households.

 

Dan is constantly making new pieces, and as a result several new pots are usually nestled on the shelves every few weeks.
